Hey, happy new year! 🍾 2018 will be the year of the editorial newsletter!
For Dan Oshinsky, Director of Newsletters at The New Yorker, it’s all about loyalty. In an interview with NiemanLab
, he describes email as “kind of like a living room. It’s a very personal space. You let in your friends, the coworkers you like, and a couple of brands you really trust — like this one”.
Katie Weber over at Quartz uses a similar metaphor, describing newsletters as “the new homepage for executives” in an article on Digiday
We are glad to see more and more authors and publishers double down on newsletters and will continue to work hard to make Revue the best tool out there.
This month we have added features to easily embed your tweets by automatically creating a card from a URL, highlight your articles by changing the layout and display images at their original size.
We also signed up the first publishers to use Revue for creating several editorial newsletters under one roof. We built the functionality in close co-operation with early users NOS and Startup Digest. Read more about it in our latest blog post
And we are providing a new home to TinyLetter authors
amidst uncertainty about when and how it will be merged into the much larger and e-commerce focused MailChimp.
